This novel was a nice change from the linear prose that saturates most bookstands today. Vonnegut plays with reality by incorporating interesting aspects of science fiction and ironically enhancing his realistic criticisms about society. About half way through this novel, I was having my doubts about the strength of the story and the depth of Vonnegut's message but by the last page I was definitely satisfied. The author tells the whole story in snippets from various points in the plot and by the time you finish the last page you've experienced a full story from a seemingly random episodic perspective. It's a quick read and a good choice if you're looking for something different, dark and humouress.
